The Bee Movie Literacy Project
This blog is set up to engage students in exploring all about bees! Students need to access the S:/The Bee Movie and view the All About Bees file. Students then need to answer the questions on this blog. Remember to add your first name, last initial, and classroom teacher's name to each response. It is not a good idea to rub a bee sting because There is venom in a sac attached to the stinger. When you try to scratch the stinger you just help push the venom out into your body.

A bee’s sting has barb- like hook as the end, so when they sting you the sting along with the poison sac is left behind in your skin. The poison sac transports the poison through the sting in to you, if you looked closely enough, you would actually see the tiny poison sac pulsing the poison into your body. So, as the poison sac is still pulsing venom into your bloodstream, if you get stung by a bee, you do not want rub the sting, as your pushing more venom in.

its not a good idea to rub your arm where you got stong because when you rub the stinger it helps push the venom ito your body.

when a honey bee stings you the fish hook like barbs on the stinger hold the stinger and poison sac in your skin and the bee dies.

It is not a good idea to rub a bee sting ecause this causes more irritation, and pushes more venom into your body. The best thing to do is use your fingernail to scrape out the stinger, this will cause less irritaion and give you some relif.
